How it works

Each letter and digit is swapped for a matching character from the Unicode standard. The result is ordinary text, not a font file, so it stays styled when you paste it. Characters that have no styled version, such as punctuation, emoji and non-Latin letters, are left as they are. For example, the letter A becomes 𝐀 (bold), π’œ (script), 𝔄 (fraktur) or β’Ά (circled). Strikethrough and underline add a combining line after every character.

Example: β€œHello 123” becomes π‡πžπ₯π₯𝐨 πŸπŸπŸ‘ in bold, ℋℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ 123 in script, β’½β“”β“›β“›β“ž β‘ β‘‘β‘’ in circled.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real fonts?

No. They are Unicode characters that look like fonts, so you can paste them into almost any app without installing anything. How they look depends on the fonts your device has.

Where can I use fancy text?

In social bios and captions, chat apps, comments and notes. Fields that accept only plain letters, such as usernames and email addresses, will reject or strip them.

Why do some letters show as empty boxes?

A box appears when none of the fonts on a device has that character. Bold, script and double-struck are widely supported. Filled circled and filled squared letters are more likely to fail on older phones and computers, so test before you post.

Is fancy text bad for accessibility or search?

Screen readers may read these letters by their Unicode names, such as β€œmathematical bold capital A”, and search engines may not match them to normal words. Use fancy text for a short accent and keep key words and links in plain text.

Is my text stored anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser and the text is not sent to a server.
